A month, four months, a year, whatever.
So I left this with a note about "inadvertently ignoring it for a month" or something to that effect. And that was about 4 and a half months ago. Oh, well.
While the lack of activity on here has been devastating to many thousands of people, I'm sure, I'm popping in to say that this version of Splitlevel is officially over. I'll be relaunching a different version of the site soonish, though we'll see what that means to my threes of readers out there. If nothing else, it should be a bit more focused in some ways, and less automatic posting of links.
Enjoy your holidays, and pop over to Ian and Star, where we've renewed our pledge to write more non-gallery-related nonsense. We've got some exciting things in store for the upcoming year at Shotgun Space too, so there'll be related nonsense as well.
I'm running a gallery!
Ian and I got our space, and now we've got our first show, "presence of the new."
Eight amazing artists, and a name stolen from a line in Deadwood - what more could you ask for? There's an opening reception this Saturday, August 11th, and it'd be swell if you could come. It'll be fun. Promise.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to inadvertently disappear from this blog for another month or so.

This is the period that I stopped reading comics. I began around 1988, when I was 9, and was pretty much totally done by the time I was 13. All of this happened in that short period of time; I just assumed it's how comics were.

This is pretty great, by why the Terminator 2 pinball game? IT'S WEAK. Why not, say, Addams Family?

Good god, this thing is ugly.
If....
I don't write much here anymore, I know. Sometime in the future, I'm planning to relaunch the site as more of a portfolio and accounting-of-my-business-elsewhere-on-the-internet site.
But know that I still love you - sometimes I just can't find the words. So I'll let Telly Savalas speak for me - everything he says, I mean, for you, and only you:

On Hit Man, a book believed to be responsible for the deaths in a triple murder case.
HUGE NEWS!
Holy crap. It's the biggest news ever over on Ian and Star.
Not less than two hours ago, we signed ourselves a lease. We're now gallerists! We're going to take the LA art scene by storm! Or maybe something far less dramatic!
You'll soon be able to find us at Capitol Studios in Cypress Park, alongside drkrm gallery and Another Year in LA.
Hoo boy, we've got lots of work to do. Keep an eye on Ian & Star for updates and photos as we get in and start working, including details about Cartridge Press, and a proper site for the gallery.
